The variety is an F3 hybrid obtained by crossing the varieties Langtraubige Schwarze and Ribes divaricatum. The plant is characterized by a small but sturdy habit. The late flowering of the variety helps avoid damage from recurring spring frosts.
The berries of the variety reach about 1.9 cm in diameter and have a taste with pronounced notes of gooseberry. The variety exhibits high resistance to powdery mildew, blister rust, and bud mite infestation. Intended for fresh consumption and various types of culinary processing.
