The variety is a product of the breeding program of Hungarian forester Imre Kapusi, based on the method of individual selection of specimens with an intensive growth rate in the initial stages of development.

The primary purpose of the variety is to improve stem quality and increase overall biomass productivity, making it suitable for industrial afforestation and use for honey production.
