A perennial shrub with strong canes 1 to 2.5 meters in height, covered with curved thorns. A distinctive feature is the absence of root suckers. To prevent lodging, tying to a support or growing on a trellis is required.
A mid-season ripening variety with fruiting on second-year canes. Round berries weighing 2.5–5 g possess a distinct aroma and firm flesh, suitable for transport.
The plant is characterized by high frost resistance (down to -30...-34°C) and drought tolerance, and also demonstrates resistance to a number of fungal diseases and cane blight.
