The plant possesses winter hardiness in USDA zones 4a to 9b and is resistant to recurrent spring frosts. The variety is light-loving, prefers well-drained soils, and requires vernalization for early and abundant flowering. Under conditions of poor drainage, it is susceptible to root rot.
