The variety SAXZ0014, known under the trade name Alpino Red, is an evergreen or semi-evergreen plant with a medium growth rate and high disease resistance. The flowering period occurs from May–July, and the flowers are red.
The plant prefers well-drained sandy soils and is capable of developing in various light conditions, including full shade. The variety is intended for decorative use as a ground cover plant, in container plantings, and for landscaping rock gardens and borders.
