The variety is a landrace that has been cultivated for about one hundred years in the Päijät-Häme region in Southern Finland. The plant has a long stem, reaching two meters in height, and forms small seeds.
It belongs to winter forms: sowing is carried out in August, harvesting is carried out at the end of July or the beginning of August of the following year. The variety is not high-yielding, but the grain is valued for its distinct taste, suitable for the production of traditional rye bread and whiskey.
