The variety is an authentic local landrace that has retained natural trait variability. Plants are medium-tall and have a tendency to lodging. The grain is characterized by a relatively low thousand kernel weight, low husk content, and weak closure of the flowering glumes.
Due to its adaptability to harsh climatic conditions, the variety is suitable for cultivation at altitudes from 800 to 1000 meters above sea level. Traditionally, the grain is used for baking, as well as in the production of spirits, in particular gin and whisky.
