The variety belongs to the green rye category and is intended for early mowing for whole-plant silage or as an intermediate crop before sowing maize. Due to its high biomass and methane yield, the variety is actively used as a substrate for biogas production.
Vitallo is a population variety. Under field conditions, it shows resistance to lodging, however, it may be susceptible to fungal diseases, such as Rhynchosporium. When used for fodder, the variety is characterized by a certain level of crude protein content.
