The Vikbolandsråg variety, also known as Östgöta Gråråg, is an old Swedish landrace. The plants reach a height of about 2 meters, have a thin straw and long, narrow ears with grayish grain. Due to the great length of the stem, the variety is prone to lodging.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness and the ability to effectively suppress weeds due to intensive growth. The variety belongs to the category of cereal crops and is valued in organic farming for its grain quality, which imparts excellent taste characteristics to bakery products.
