The variety was obtained by selection from a combination of breeding lines EM-1, Saratovskaja, Voschod and Kustro. It is characterized by good resistance to major diseases, including powdery mildew and rust.
Yield in trials ranged from 7.06 to 8.47 t/ha. Grain quality indicators include a thousand kernel weight of about 33.8 g, test weight of 76.3 kg/hl, protein content of 10.5%, starch content of 61.4%, and a falling number of 333 seconds.
