The variety is a diploid landrace form. It possesses high frost resistance and adaptation to northern latitudes and is capable of effective hardening.
In agriculture, the variety was traditionally used for bread baking. In modern conditions, it more often serves as a reference sample for studying the composition of dietary fibers, including pentosans and beta-glucans, as well as for genome mapping and research into cold resistance mechanisms.
