The variety was obtained as a result of hybridization of forms with shattering and non-shattering capsules, where the variety Milena was used as the male parent. An anatomical feature of the plant is that upon ripening, the capsules open only at the top, and the seeds remain firmly attached to the placenta.

The variety is adapted for industrial use: mechanized threshing using specialized inertial threshers allows for the collection of more than 95% of the seeds without loss of their germination capacity. The average yield of the variety is about 1.35 t/ha. The variety is also being studied for resistance to soil salinity.
