The variety is the first Polish white mustard cultivar with a reduced level of erucic acid (less than 1.5%), which makes the oil suitable for human consumption. The plant is characterized by short stature, reaching a height of about 88 cm.

Bamberka has a phytosanitary effect, suppressing the population of the beet cyst nematode; however, the variety has low resistance to increased soil acidity. The oil content of the seeds is about 28.9%, and the glucosinolate content reaches 136.7 μmol/g.
