The variety is used in agricultural practice primarily for phytosanitary purposes. The plant is effectively used to control pests, including the beet cyst nematode Heterodera schachtii and the Columbia root-knot nematode Meloidogyne chitwoodi.
The variety ensures a reduction in the level of soil infestation by nematodes, corresponding to resistance classes 1 and 2.
