The plant is a low-growing shrub with a dense, compact, and rounded habit, reaching 40–60 cm in height and width in 10 years. The leaves are leathery, lanceolate, with characteristic variegation in the form of a white margin along the edge.
Flowering occurs in March–April with small, fragrant white flowers. Flower buds form in August and gradually change color from cream-white to pink and dark red in the autumn-winter period. The variety does not produce fruit; after flowering, the flowers fall off.
The crop is frost-hardy but requires protection when grown in containers. It prefers partial shade or shade, as direct intense sun can cause leaf damage. It is used for planting in open field and as a decorative potted plant.
