Variety description

The plant is an evergreen shrub 50–70 cm in height (sometimes up to 100 cm) with a dense crown. Lateral buds actively form inflorescences, ensuring the density of the shrub. The foliage is dark green and glossy.
The variety is early-flowering, blooming in late March — April, three weeks earlier than the Rubella variety. Male flowers are four-petalled, white with yellow anthers, and possess an intense lilac fragrance. Dark red flower buds persist from autumn until spring, maintaining the decorative appeal of the shrub during the winter period.
The plant is characterized as vigorous and winter-hardy. It is used for planting in open ground and containers, and is suitable for cutting. It is an effective pollinator for female Skimmia varieties.
