The variety is an evergreen compact shrub about 80 cm in height. The plant is a male clone, which determines its ornamental purpose: it is valued for early flowering starting in March, however, it does not produce berries. All parts of the plant are poisonous.
The plant is intended for garden design and container cultivation on terraces and balconies. The variety is relatively winter-hardy and prefers semi-shaded or shaded, wind-protected locations with fertile, moist, and well-drained soils. Skimmia is resistant to air pollution.
