The variety is an object of breeding research and is often considered alongside the Moneymaker variety. It served as a base for creating laboratory lines, including those crossed with wild species Solanum peruvianum and Solanum chmielewskii to study resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and pigment genetics.
The fruits are described as light-colored, while in experiments, the variety serves as a control with red skin color. Agronomically, it is characterized as suitable for transport and high-yielding, however, it is inferior to modern hybrids in terms of maturity and aroma intensity.
