The variety is a local traditional crop of Galicia, Spain. Its fruits have an oblate shape. Scientific studies of the variety included measurements of weight, diameter, shape of the apical part, scar characteristics, and appearance in cross-section.

Within the framework of agronomic trials, yield and physicochemical properties of the fruits were evaluated, including pH level, soluble solids content, and acidity. Data on ripening periods, plant growth parameters, and disease resistance are absent in official materials.
