The plant is vigorous, reaching a height of about 1.2 meters. Stems, leaves, and fruit calyxes often have spines. The variety is demanding in terms of thermal conditions: growth slows down at temperatures below 12°C, and intense heat above 32°C can cause flower drop. In open field cultivation, it requires staking due to the weight of the fruits.
Fruits are elongated, about 30 cm in length, with a slightly curved shape. The color varies from Parma violet to dark purple, with a high gloss. The flesh is white and has a delicate flavor. The variety is mid-season; at least 5 months from sowing are required to obtain a harvest.
