The variety is a product of SAKA-RAGIS Pflanzenzucht breeding. Genealogically, it originated from crossing Granola and MPI 71.241/50 varieties; work on it was conducted in the late 1980s.

The variety is intended for table use. Morphologically, the tubers are characterized by yellow skin and flesh color. It possesses distinct resistance to potato cyst nematode, particularly to pathotypes Ro1–5.
