The potato variety Decibel has a mid-early maturity period and is characterized by high growth vigor. The tubers have an oval or elongated-oval shape, yellow skin and flesh color, and shallow eyes. On average, about 10 tubers are formed under one plant.
The culinary type of the potato belongs to category B; the dry matter content is 18–20%. After boiling, the flesh does not darken, and the variety has good keeping quality during storage. The variety is suitable for making mashed potatoes, soups, baking, and home preparation of French fries.
The plant has high resistance to virus Y, potato wart (F1), and potato cyst nematode (Ro 1-4), as well as to common scab. Moderate resistance to late blight of foliage is noted, with susceptibility to late blight of tubers.
