The variety is included in the standard EPPO set for testing resistance to various pathotypes of potato wart (Synchytrium endobioticum). The variety is also noted for its resistance to potato leafroll virus.
Delcora is used in breeding programs as a parental line for developing new potato clones suitable for industrial processing, in particular for chip production.
