The variety belongs to the early maturity group. The variety RHEINHORT was used as a parent form in the development of other potato varieties.
The variety was actively used in agronomic and physiological studies, in particular for studying dry matter distribution, nitrogen uptake, and tuber protein composition. It was also used in work on studying resistance to various pathogens.
Currently, the variety is considered a heritage variety. It is rarely found in current commercial registers, but is maintained in genetic collections as a sample of cultivated potato.
