The variety is the result of a cross between B5149-8 and Katahdin. The plant forms a high yield and possesses good characteristics for processing, in particular for potato chip production and canning. The dry matter content in the tubers is medium.
The variety possesses resistance to common scab and tuber necrosis caused by pea leaf roll virus, as well as immunity to potato virus X. It exhibits high drought tolerance, demonstrating minimal yield reduction during moisture deficit.
Used as a table variety and as raw material for the processing industry. Due to its genetic characteristics, it is widely used as parental material in breeding programs for new varieties.
