The variety has a semi-erect plant with intermediate type foliage and reddish-purple flowers. Tubers are large, round-oblong in shape, with white flesh, shallow eyes, and light-beige skin, which may have slight netting.
The plant possesses resistance to golden potato nematode (race Ro1) and common scab. Moderate susceptibility is noted for late blight, early blight, powdery scab, and virus Y. Emergence can be slow due to a long dormancy period, which exceeds that of the Atlantic variety by approximately 6 weeks.
The variety is valued for maintaining high fry color quality after long-term cold storage. When growing large tubers, hollow heart may occur in 5–10% of cases. Dry matter content is lower than that of the Atlantic variety.
