The variety was obtained by crossing Allerfrüheste Gelbe and Erdgold varieties. Historically associated with Spain.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to Fusarium dry rot (Fusarium sambucinum), demonstrating low indices of tuber tissue lesion depth. It is used as a donor of resistance genes in breeding programs.

The tubers of the variety have yellow flesh. The produce is used for food purposes and is included in databases on carotenoid content.
