This hybrid is used primarily as a forage crop. The plant is characterized by abundant leaf mass, high adaptability to summer growing conditions, and the ability to regrow quickly after mowing.
Modifications of the hybrid may include the BMR (brown midrib) gene, which ensures a reduced lignin content and improved forage digestibility. WMR type variations also occur.
