The hybrid belongs to the species Sorghum bicolor. Unlike Sudan grass, this is a specialized grain crop, which in some regions is also used as raw material for biogas plants.

The plant reaches a height of 130–150 cm, which is significantly lower than that of tall Sudan grass varieties. The hybrid has a mid-early maturity group and is resistant to Fusarium and drought conditions.
