The Rocket hybrid belongs to the group of brown midrib (BMR) sorghum-sudangrass hybrids, which ensures a reduced level of lignin in stems and leaves. The crop is distinguished by rapid maturity and high early seedling vigor.

The plant possesses good regrowth capacity after cutting or grazing, which allows it to be used for hay, haylage, and green fodder production. Due to increased fiber digestibility, the hybrid is in demand for intensive livestock farming, although it may be prone to lodging due to its stem structure.
