The Zöldözön variety is an F1 hybrid obtained by crossing a maternal line of silage sorghum and a paternal line of Sudan grass. The plant possesses dense foliage, which ensures good fodder qualities when used for green forage, livestock grazing, or silage preparation.

This hybrid has also been considered as an alternative source of biomass. Quantitative indicators of productivity, precise vegetation periods, and data on resistance to diseases or lodging are not presented in open sources.
