The variety is intended for the production of green fodder, hay, and silage. The plant is capable of regrowth after mowing and possesses drought tolerance characteristic of the species as a whole. Selective resistance of the variety to certain types of herbicides has been noted, along with sensitivity to a number of other chemical agents.

In comparative agronomic research, the variety shows stable yields of green and dry mass. Chemical analysis of the composition indicates that the content levels of protein, fats, and mineral substances may be lower than those of certain other tested hybrid forms and varieties.
