Trudan II is a hybrid obtained by crossing two varieties of Sudan grass. Unlike sorghum × Sudan grass hybrids, this variety retains the morphological characteristics of Sudan grass, including thin leafy stems, which ensures a high leaf-to-stem ratio.

The variety possesses early growth vigor, rapid regrowth after mowing or grazing, and stable yield throughout the growing season. It is well adapted to hot and dry conditions, but is sensitive to iron deficiency in the soil, which causes chlorosis.

The forage crop is intended for grazing, hay production, or green fodder. Due to the delicate tissue structure and high leafiness, the variety has high nutritional value and good palatability for livestock.
