The Hector F1 variety is an early-maturing hybrid for cultivation in open field. The plant forms an upright rosette with tender, smooth leaves of a dark green color, possessing a mild taste.

The hybrid is characterized by resistance to bolting, which allows for an extended harvest period. Resistance to downy mildew races 1–3 is also stated.
