The variety belongs to the smooth-leaf spinach group and is distinguished by a larger size compared to some other varieties. It is characterized by high nitrate reductase activity, which ensures reduced nitrate accumulation in plant tissues, as well as an increased protein content.

The plant possesses resistance to the first and second races of downy mildew. The smooth-leaf form facilitates the washing and primary processing process, therefore the variety was intended both for fresh consumption and for industrial processing, including freezing and canning.
