The plant forms an upright leaf rosette. The leaves are smooth and dark green in color. The hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group.

The variety possesses high resistance to foliar diseases; in particular, resistance to downy mildew of spinach (Peronospora effusa) races 1–19 has been noted. It is used as a smooth-leaf spinach for the fresh market.
