The variety forms dark green, dense, and fleshy leaves. Due to its relative resistance to bolting, the harvest period is extended compared to a number of other varieties.

The plants are characterized by vigorous development, although their condition and the rate of transition to flowering may depend on the level of mineral nutrition, in particular on the availability of magnesium and sulfur.
