The spinach hybrid Mandril RZ belongs to the babyleaf segment, intended for harvesting young leaves before the formation of a mature plant rosette. The plant has an upright growth habit, which facilitates mechanical harvesting.
The leaf blade of the variety has an oval shape and is characterized by a dark color. The variety possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f. sp. spinaciae) races 1–14, which makes it suitable for the professional production of fresh greens.
