The variety is an annual plant about 0.3 m tall. The leaves have a crunchy texture, sweet taste, and form a rosette. The plant reaches market maturity in a period from 6 to 12 weeks.

The crop is used for fresh consumption and preparation of salads. The variety possesses resistance to downy mildew and reduced susceptibility to leaf spot caused by Cladosporium variabile. It is capable of successfully overwintering when sown before winter.
