The plant is an upright shrub with a height of 60 to 90 cm. The leaves are relatively large for this species, reaching a length of 75 mm and having a dark color. Small pink flowers appear in early summer and are located along the entire length of the stems.

The fruits are large, about 15 mm in diameter, pearl-white in color with a soft pink hue at the apex. Fruit formation begins in early autumn; they can remain on the bush until the beginning of winter. The plant adapts to various types of soils and has high winter hardiness.
