The plant is a densely branched shrub 1.0 to 2.0 meters in height with small ovate leaves that fall in winter. Flowering occurs in June–July, after which fruits are formed that remain on the branches until the beginning of winter.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness, adapts to various soil types, and is resistant to urban pollution. The plant is shade-tolerant, but fruits most abundantly when placed in sunny or semi-shaded areas.

The crop is used in landscape design for creating hedges, group and single plantings, landscaping parks and urban areas, and is also suitable for growing in containers on terraces and balconies.
