The variety has a narrow obconical crown and reaches 5–7 meters in height. The branching is dense, directed upwards, and starts from the very base of the trunk. The leaves are smaller and thinner than in the typical form of the species. Flowering with small yellowish flowers occurs in July, but is rarely observed, especially with regular pruning.
The plant possesses high winter hardiness, tolerates urban conditions well, and has medium wind resistance. The variety is characterized by disease resistance, although minor infestations of aphids and mites are possible. In literature, it may be found under the trade name Norðîc® «Skjold».
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
