The Lilibeo variety is a traditional selection, well-adapted to the conditions of Sicily and Sardinia. It is capable of providing several cuts per season and can be grown both in pure stands and in grass mixtures with oats or ryegrass.

In agronomic trials, the variety demonstrates high productivity and resistance to the region's climatic conditions, including periods of spring drought. Research confirms the crop's ability to form biomass and fix nitrogen, including through symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi.
