The variety is diploid and adapted to northern growing conditions, in particular for use in agriculture in Norway and Sweden. It is used in grass mixtures, for example with Phleum pratense, for silage production and livestock grazing.
In research, the variety was examined in the context of biorefining to obtain protein- and fiber-containing forage fractions, with the content of neutral detergent fiber (aNDFom) being one of the key quality indicators. The variety's yield may vary depending on the year and growing conditions.
The variety undergoes regular testing, where its winter hardiness indicators and longevity within a sward are evaluated.
