Perennial herbaceous plant 30–60 cm tall with grayish-green trifoliate leaves and red flowers collected in heads 5–6 cm by 2 cm. The variety is distinguished by a good regrowth rate, which allows for two full hay cuts during the growing season, and in some cases up to three.

Dry matter yield is 8–10 t/ha; seed yield is estimated at 0.3–0.5 t/ha. The plant possesses good winter hardiness and moderate disease resistance. The variety develops best on cultivated sandy loam and loam soils with sufficient calcium content.

Intended for forage use in grass mixtures with Phleum pratense, Lolium perenne and Festuca pratensis. High protein content is noted in the dry matter.
