The variety is tetraploid (4n). Morphologically, it is characterized by medium cotyledon width, which is taken into account when conducting tests for distinctness, uniformity, and stability.

The variety is used as a forage crop in pure stands and as part of grass mixtures due to high green mass and dry matter productivity. In long-term studies of persistence and stability, it is inferior to a number of modern varieties.
