Variety description

The variety is a hybrid population obtained from ten accessions selected for resistance to the pathogen Sclerotinia trifoliorum. The plant belongs to an intermediate type between large-leaved varieties of the giganteum type and medium-leaved varieties of the hollandicum type, combining their competitiveness, seed productivity, and winter hardiness.

Morphologically, the variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with creeping shoots rooting at the nodes. Nemuniai demonstrates a stable high dry matter yield and tolerates grazing well, which is why it is used as a component of pasture grass mixtures to increase the nutritional value of feed.
