The variety is the result of breeding using lines from the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center. The pedigree of the variety is designated as (CNO"S"/PJ/4/GLL/3/TOB//JAR"S"/CRESPO).
Plants belong to the semi-dwarf type with a height of 85–90 cm. The variety is characterized as mid-late. During the period of active use, it occupied about 20–22% of the wheat acreage in Israel.
The variety possessed resistance to the main types of rust; however, in 1994, due to a change in the pathogenic environment, an outbreak of yellow rust occurred, which limited the use of the variety in production.
