Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the spring or facultative growth habit type. The plants have medium height and awned ears. The variety is intended primarily for cultivation on irrigated land.

Badiel possesses resistance to powdery mildew and Septoria. Medium or low resistance to leaf rust and yellow rust is noted, as well as general susceptibility to a range of leaf diseases. The variety shows high lodging resistance.

The produce is characterized by a medium protein content and high flour strength indices, which allows the variety to be used as an improver with a tendency toward increased dough tenacity.
