The variety was created by specialists at the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute during programs aimed at increasing the productivity and adaptability of cereal crops. The wheat is capable of effectively realizing its potential in various soil and climatic conditions of Southern Bulgaria.
Boliarka possesses a high level of winter hardiness. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, data on the maturity group, as well as specific indicators of disease resistance and grain quality are not provided in publicly available publications.
